Poker is one of the oldest and popular card games ever invented, How many of us when we were children spent a sunday afternoon with friends and family sharing jokes over a few hands of this popular game.
There are several different variations to this entertaining game, while most people rember playing the normal game with five cards, other variations exist such as texas holdem.
Texas Hold’em has become very popular in the world over the last several years. While it is not the only type of poker you can play it certainly is amongst the well known
In poker there are a couple of different types, either draw games or stud games. If you have played Texas Hold’em before than no doubt you are very familiar with playing stud games.
For those who don’t know, stud games are a variation of poker where each player creates a hand by using only using a strict combination of cards that are either shown face up or on the opposite face down.
In both variations the card players involved use the general decks of cards or the community card which ios placed on the poker table or card board. Each player is at first dealt his own is two hold cards. also known as” hole cards”. which are his face down cards.
In a draw onlygame of poker players can create their various hands using only cards that have been dealt face down which are the one sthey are holding in there hands. This is the most common and perhaps the version of poker you remember most as it is usually played first by those who begin playing poker. It is known as Five Card Draw and still to this day remains extremely popular.
Basically five card draw is a game of strategy that uses a bit of skill mixed with psychology. Each player has 5 cards dealt to them in any of several different combinations.Due to this five card draw relies more on strategy in not only knowing which cards to to throw away or keep but in also trying to figure out what the other players are holding.
